Home of the Brave

Pop / Country Music
Released 1967
~Not Available for Sale~

The title song, "Home of the Brave," was written by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. It was considered a protest
song ... it came out during the same time period as "Eve of Destruction" and similar songs.

This album was a bubble-gum (teens) seller, consequently it sold a lot
of records. And it had my biggest single, "Home of the Brave."

Naturally, we included some Country songs: "Your
Cheatin' Heart" and "Born To Lose." Just think ... I initiated a lot of those
teenagers into loving Country Music!

Lots of people come up to me still and tell me that "Home of the Brave" is their all-time favorite
song, and oh yeah, they were all 15 at the time.
